The Black Cow Cocktail That Above All others

Fernand Petiot is the man who is thought to have invented the much loved Bloody Mary cocktail in 1921, while was working at the New York Bar in Paris; it later became Harry’s New York Bar, which was a frequent Paris hangout for Ernest Hemingway.

The original cocktail is said to have been a spur of the moment cocktail creation, according to the bar’s own traditions, consisting only of vodka and tomato juice.

Here is Black Cow Vodka’s delicious version.

Double shot of Black Cow vodka
Single shot sweet sherry
Top up with tomato juice
Good splash Lea Perrins
Good splash Tobasco
Dash Celery Salt
Black Pepper
Lemon juice

Place ice into a tall glass and add the vodka. Next up, add the lemon juice, sweet sherry, Lea Perrins Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, and tomato juice. Stir well. Adjust the seasoning, to taste, with celery salt for depth of flavor and black pepper and drink away.
