Chocolate Soup
Ingredients
THE SOUP
- 2 cups Whole milk
- ½ can Sweetened condensed milk (7 oz.)
- 6 oz. Ghirardelli bittersweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp. Coffee-flavored liqueur (such as kahlua), optional
- ½ tsp. Table salt
- 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. Espresso powder
THE SALSA
- ¼ cup Diced strawberries
- ¼ cup Diced fresh pineapple
- ¼ cup Diced kiwi
- ½ tsp. Sugar
Instructions
- Combine whole milk, condensed milk, chocolate chips, liqueur, and salt in a saucepan; bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, whisking constantly. Reduce heat to low and cook, whisking often, until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth, 20–25 minutes.
- Whisk together vanilla and espresso powder until dissolved. Off heat, stir the vanilla mixture into the soup.
- Toss together strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, and sugar in a bowl. Garnish soup with salsa and a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
