These decadent, deep chocolate brownies make four servings, just the ticket when a next-day chocolate craving hits — or elegant enough for company!
Brownies and Peanut Butter Sauce
Ingredients
THE BROWNIES, WHISK
- ⅓ cup All-purpose flour
- ½ tsp. Instant espresso powder
- ¼ tsp. Table salt
- ¼ tsp. Baking soda
COMBINE
- 4 tbsp. Unsalted butter
- ½ cup Semisweet chocolate chips
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 2 tbsp. Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. Water
STIR IN
- 1 Egg
- ½ tsp. Vanilla extract
- ¼ cup Milk chocolate chips
THE SAUCE, HEAT
- ¼ cup Heavy cream
- ¼ cup Crunchy peanut butter
- 1 tbsp. Light corn syrup
- Pinch of salt
- Vanilla ice cream (optional)
- Chocolate curls (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly coat four 8-oz. brioche pans or jumbo muffin cups with nonstick spray.
For The Brownies
- Whisk together flour, espresso powder, ¼ tsp. salt, and baking soda in a small bowl.
- Divide batter among prepared brioche cups. Bake brownies until a toothpick inserted in the centers comes out with just a few crumbs, 17–19 minutes. Carefully invert brownies onto serving dishes.
- For the sauce, heat cream, peanut butter, and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium-low until melted, stirring constantly; stir in salt. Pour sauce over brownies. Serve brownies with ice cream and chocolate curls, if desired.
